We help philanthropies to craft grant-making strategies, select and evaluate investments,
and work closely with grantees to ensure
lasting impact over time.
We help organizations generate impact by helping them plan, enter, scale and sustain their high quality solutions in a complex marketplace.
The fractured nature of the education ecosystem has made these three goals increasingly out of reach. EdSolutions was founded with the belief that better knowledge, delivered at the right time, can deliver brighter outcomes for underserved students.
Only deep knowledge of education markets will break this cycle and bring sustainable results to the benefit of students. We are committed to achieving this goal.
For many years, our founders Jeff Livingston, Beth Mejia, and Jay Bakhru developed, launched, marketed, and sold products + services within the P-16 education market. During that time, they learned much about customer needs, product requirements, and the competitive environment—the dynamics of the education market that produce scalable solutions, but they also independently discovered that many of those solutions were not working for our most vulnerable students. When the opportunity arose to help a large philanthropy answer the question, “How many Black, Brown, EL and kids experiencing poverty have access to high quality materials?,” they joined forces and dove in.
EdSolutions was born out of the need to help impact-investors and their grantees use the levers of the market to drive impact.
