Driven by a belief that access to high-quality public education is the most powerful lever for economic mobility, Mackenzie has shaped her career around advancing impact strategy. She previously served as Chief of Staff for the Maine Charter School Commission and as Associate Director of Growth for KIPP Northern California, where she developed growth strategy and led the launch of new schools. As a consultant, she has advised foundations, venture philanthropies, government agencies, research institutions, and nonprofit organizations across the education sector. Earlier in her career, Mackenzie was an elementary school teacher in Brooklyn, NY, and Denver, CO — an experience that grounds her work in the realities of classrooms and communities.
